INFO

Fran Vives was born in the U.S.A. from a Chilean family. He began his musical journey at the age of 12 next to a vertical piano at his parents' house.

At the age of 16, he learned how to play rhythms on his younger brother's (Fernando Vives) toy drum kit, and a year later got a real drum set and formed his first band "Insigne" (Progressive Rock) as a drummer.

He studied Composition and Musical Arrangements at the Escuela Moderna Institute of Chile (2002–2008).

At the age of 23, he traveled to the USA for a year and studied Afro Beat rhythms with a Senegalese master guru.

Back in Chile, he became a member of many different bands including Uruz, Tréboles, Avioneta, The Zulus, Armando Jarana and Zebra 93. During this time he developed a great interest in synthesizers and sounds.

In 2010 he created "Armando Jarana" Music Production Company with more than 200 live shows. He also performed as a sessionist for bands like Tiro de Gracia and Glup, among others.

Currently, Fran lives in California, USA, and works as a Music Producer, Composer, instructor, and Live/Studio keyboardist musician.

"Music is more than just a passion — it's a lifestyle that can't be heard if you don't VIBRATE with it."
